14" (36 cm.) Carved wooden socket head, carved hair in short bobbed fashion with defined bangs, sculpted and painted hair band terminating in bow at the back of the head, sculpted facial features, intaglio eyes, white upper glancing eyes, feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with pouting expression, all-wooden spring-jointed body with holes in feet for positioning. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Schoenhut Doll Jat. Jan 17 11,USA and Foreign Countries. Comments: Schoenhut, circa 1912. Value Points: superb detail of carving enhanced by original finish depicts a very wistful child, rare hair style, original knit teddy and Schoenhut stand.
