The tinplate music box with hand-painted finish to simulate rosewood has hinged kid over painted keyboard, swivel candlesticks and a hidden music box which plays merrily when the porcelain knob at the top is turned. Excellent condition, new tiny paint flakes, one foot pedal missing. Germany, mid-1800s, rare musical toy with wonderful strong musical sound.
