15" (38 cm.) l. 10"h. The gracefully shaped furniture,appearing as a desk when closed,has rich marquetry inlays of fine woods,cabriole legs,shaped apron front,and dove-tailed wooden drawer. The top is separated into three sections,viz. a central panel that folds up to reveal a mirror and table surface,and two side arms that fold outward to reveal deep compartments. Excellent condition. The use of fine woods and expert craftsmanship indicate a maitrise model. Early 19th century.
