14" (36 cm.) x 10". Painting on canvas depicts two young girls in a garden setting, one seated at a miniature table pouring tea in a child-sized tea set,the other holding her doll. The painting details are exquisite including coral necklace on one girl, dog seated at their side, the corner of a porch at one side, playing cards strewn across the table and tumbling to the ground, very pleasing faces on girls, and a fine early classic English wooden doll with flat back, modeled bosom, period costume. The delicate watercolor is varnished (originally) and is presented in its early frame under glass. Excellent condition, unsigned, circa 1810.
