14" (36 cm.) Porcelain shoulder head depicting adult lady with slender oval face and very elongated strong throat with defined hollow, light pink tinted complexion, brown sculpted hair in center part waved smoothly around the face with four ringlet curls at each ear and a coiled chignon at the back, painted blue down-glancing heavily lidded eyes with red liner, aquiline nose, closedmouth, muslin stitch-jointed body with stitched-on stocking and shoes, leather arms, lovely antique costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: KPM (red and blue stamps inside shoulder plate). Comments: KPM, Germany, circa 1845. Value Points: very rare early porcelain lady with brown hair, superb sculpting and painting.
