Bisque socket head with unusual elongated oval shape, blue glass sleep eyes, human hair lashes, dark eye liner, painted dark curly lashes, modeled detail of brows with brush-stroked painting, accented eye corners, shaded nostrils, open mouth, shaded and outlined lips, four porcelain teeth, pierced ears, long brunette wig, composition and wooden ball-jointed body, wearing lovely antique mauve silk taffeta lady's gown, undergarments, bonnet, shoes. Condition: generally excellent, body finish original with some revarnish. Marks: 1079 S&H dep 19 (head) Wimpern (stamp). Comments: Simon & Halbig, circa 1900. Value Points: extremely rare largest size of Simon and Halbig doll, with unusual facial shape, lovely bisque and painting.
