Description
20" (51 cm.) Poured wax shoulder head with lovely pink tinted
complexion,blue glass inset eyes,painted lashes and
brows,closed mouth with accented lips,delicate tendrils of
inserted hair,softly stuffed muslin body,poured wax lower
limbs,bare feet. Condition: generally excellent. Comments:
attributed to Montanari,circa 1870. Value Points: wearing
original very elaborate lace gown and bonnet,the doll is
presented in her original wooden box with ink-script note torn
from an old letter and pasted on the inside lid "Brought from
London,England to Ellen Maria (blank) by her father in 1854".
