17" (43 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulder plate,plump facial modeling,blue glass enamel inset eyes with spiral threading,dark eyeliner,painted lashes,feathered brows,accented nostrils and eye corners,closed mouth with accented lips,pierced ears,blonde mohair wig over cork pate,all- wooden fully-articulated body with shapely torso,dowel-jointing at shoulders,elbows,wrists,hips,and knees,pivot jointing at upper legs. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Medaille d'Argent Huret 22 Boulevard Montmartre Paris Exposition Universelle 1867 (green stamp on front torso). Comments: Maison Huret,circa 1868. Value Points: the wooden-bodied poupee has excellent posing possibilities,beautiful expression with childlike features,and is contained in an early French poupee trunk with original maker's label,along with an extensive trousseau,comprising three early gowns,capes,jacket,undergarments,bone-handled parasol,two pairs of shoes,three bonnets,and more.
