13" (33 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-lined bisque shoulder plate, bright blue glass inset eyes, painted dark lashes, brush- stroked brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with center accent line, commercial pink muslin stitch-jointed body, bisque lower arms. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: SH 3 949. Comments: Simon and Halbig, circa 1885. Value Points: very beautiful swivel head, closed mouth doll, wearing her original brown woolen nun's habit with all appropriate accessories.
