40" (102 cm.) Bisque socket head,blue glass paperweight inset
eyes,dark eyeliner,lushly painted lashes,rose blushed eye
shadow,widely arched brush-stroked brows,accented eye
corners,shaded nostrils,closed mouth,outlined lips,pierced
ears,blonde human hair wig,French composition and wooden
fully-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent,some body
retouch. Marks: Depose Jumeau 20 (incised mark,and artist
checkmarks). Comments: Emile Jumeau,circa 1885,the incised
depose model was made for one year only and very few
examples in this largest size,20,are known to exist. Value
Points: very rare doll is enhanced by beautiful bisque and
painting,original Jumeau body,antique white pique boy's suit.
