11" (28 cm.) Pressed bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque
shoulder plate,very plump cheeks and chin,pale complexion with
softly blushed cheeks and chin,blue glass enamel inset
eyes,painted lashes and brows,dark eyeliner,accented nostrils of
rounded nose,closed mouth with accented lips,pierced
ears,blonde mohair wig over cork pate,French kid gusset-
jointed bebe body,bisque lower arms,wearing early maroon silk
dress with lace trim,undergarments,stockings,leather
shoes,bonnet. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 6/0 (head
and shoulder plate). Comments: Leon Casmir Bru,circa 1878,his
first model of bebe. Value Points: very rare earliest model Bru
bebe has outstanding bisque,sculpting and painting,original
body based upon Bru depose with bisque lower arms,signed "B"
shoes and original Bru label inside bonnet.
