Description
3" (8 cm.) Carved bone folding fan with delicate fretwork cut- outs has interspersed blue silk panels hand-painted with colorful tiny flowers and centering a middle panel with a scene of colorfully feathered bird with nest and little eggs; the fan is edged with delicate feathers, has ormolu belt loop and is contained in original (frail) box. Excellent condition with vibrant colors. French, circa 1870.
