18" (46 cm.) Pale bisque socket head with flattened solid
dome,brilliant blue glass enamel inset eyes,dark
eyeliner,delicately painted lashes,feathered brows,accented
nostrils and eye corners,closed mouth with defined space
between the outlined lips,blonde mohair wig,French composition
and wooden fully-jointed body,moss green and bronze silk satin
dress,undergarments,brown stockings,leather shoes,brown
velvet bonnet. Condition: generally excellent,body not original
but of the period and appropriately sized. Marks: 12 (head) Bebe
Jumeau Diplome d'Honneur (body stamp). Comments:
Sonneberg,mystery maker,circa 1885,the doll was made to
emulate and capture the French doll market. Value Points: very
beautiful pale bisque with brilliantly contrasting blue eyes.
