Description
25" (64 cm.) Paper mache shoulder head with rounded childlike facial shape, sculpted short curly hair with stippled detailing, black enamel inset eyes, painted lashes, lightly feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with center accent line, sculpted ears, muslin stitch-jointed body, leather arms. Condition: very good, original finish with some typical craze lines. Comments: Germany, circa 1880. Value Points: especially fine detail of sculpted curly hair, original body, wearing wonderful antique dress with attached linen bodice and cuffs, undergarments, leather boots.
