20" (51 cm.) All wool felt doll with swivel head,center seam
face,blue enamel eyes,mask pressed features with rounded
upturned nose,stitched lips and ears,fleeced blonde/grey
hair,slender body with jointed arms and legs,large cobbled
leather boots. Condition: good,surface dust,some moth holes in
costume. Marks: Steiff (button in ear). Comments: Steiff,circa
1913,"Edouard" the "tennis man",circa 1913,was introduced as
the partner of "Bette". Value Points: rare early Steiff model with
highly characterized features,wonderfully cobbled leather shoes.
