35" (89 cm.) Pressed bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulder plate with modeled bosom and shoulder blades, large brown glass paperweight inset eyes, thick black eyeliner, painted lashes, slightly modeled brush-stroked brows with feathered detailing, accented eye corners, shaded nostrils, pierced ears, brunette human hair over cork pate, kid bebe body with scalloped-edge collarette, Chevrot jointed hips, wooden lower legs and feet, kid over wooden upper arms, bisque lower arms with separately sculpted fingers, wearing antique lace dress, undergarments, fancy bonnet. Condition: generally excellent, right finger reglued. Marks: 13 (head) Bru Jne 13 (shoulders). Comments: Leon Casimir Bru, circa 1884. Value Points: outstanding model of Bru's bebe from his Golden Age, in rarest large size that enhances the stunning sculpting, enhanced by suggestion of tiny tongue tip, dimpled chins, modeling of brows, very beautiful hands, and superb original condition.
