18" (46 cm.) Bisque socket head,painted facial features,pale blue
upper glancing eyes with white eyedots,black eyeliner with
fringed lashes,red eyeliner,short feathered brows,accented
nostrils and eye corners,closed mouth in smiling expression
with row of beaded teeth,blonde mohair wig over plaster
pate,composition and wooden ball-jointed body,wearing blue
velvet Sunday best suit with lace collar,leather shoes,velvet cap.
Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Kestner,circa
1912,the model appeared in a smaller version in their multi-
head series. Value Points: rare larger size of the laughing
character,with outstanding detail of sculpting around eyes and
mouth made possible by larger size,fine quality bisque and
painting,original body finish.
