Description
16" (41 cm.) Paper mache shoulder head of adult lady with oval
face and elongated strong throat,black sculpted hair waved in
front of ears and smoothed backward into ringlet curl behind
each ear and tightly coiled chignon at the back of head,painted
facial features,blue eyes,red and black eyeliner,slender kid body
with wooden lower limbs,painted orange shoes. Condition:
generally excellent,slight nose rub,horizontal craze at back
shoulder plate. Comments: Germany,circa 1840. Value Points:
fine larger size of the early poupee with beautiful hair
styling,sturdy original body
