17" (43 cm.) One piece paper mache head and torso,slender
elongated face and throat,head tilted upward in superior
pose,painted facial features,blue eyes,heavily lidded
eyes,aquiline closed mouth,strong chin,auburn hemp hair,pin-
jointed elongated arms and legs,wearing silk Marquis costume
with bicorn hat,knit stockings,black silk shoes with silver
buckles. Condition: generally excellent,some fading of facial
complexion. Comments: French,maker unknown,mid-19th
century. Value Points: very handsome features of gentleman
with portrait like qualities.
