16" (41 cm.) Solid domed bisque shoulder head turned slightly to the right,brown glass eyes,painted lashes and brows,accented nostrils and eye corners,closed mouth with downcast lips,blonde mohair wig,muslin stitch-jointed body,composition lower legs,bisque arms from above the elbows,nicely costumed. Condition: generally excellent,one thumb chipped. Marks: 166- 4. Comments: Kling,circa 1885. Value Points: very endearing wistful expression,fine bisque,body,and costume,ex-collection Legoland Museum of Antique Dolls before acquisition by Geri Baker.
