14" (36 cm.) Bisque socket head,intaglio narrow blue eyes with tiny white eye dots,black upper eyeliner,impressed laughter crinkles,short feathered brows,closed mouth in shy smile with outlined lips and row of beaded teeth,blonde mohair fleecy wig,original composition body with shoulder and hip jointing,painted knee-high stockings and black ankle-strap shoes,wearing original school dress,undergarments and cap. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: B.P. 5 (incised) Geschutz Germany S&C (green stamp). Comments: Bahr and Proschild for Swaine,circa 1915. Value Points: rare model with most endearing expression of cheerful yet shy child,wonderful detail of sculpting,original rarer body.
