28" (71 cm.) Bisque socket head, brown glass sleep eyes, dark eyeliner, dark curly lashes, incised upper eyeliner, thick brush- stroked brows with decorative glaze, accented nostrils, closed mouth with outlined lips, dimpled chin, brunette human hair over plaster pate, composition and wooden ball-jointed body, wearing antique silk dress, fancy bonnet, undergarments, leather shoes. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: L 1/2 made in Germany 15 1/2. Comments: Kestner, circa 1890. Value Points: beautiful bisque with richly painted features on the closed mouth doll, original body finish, lovely old wig.
