14" (36 cm.) Each has paper mache head with characterized expression,painted smiling closed mouth,upturned nose,he with blue glass eyes and bisque hands,she with painted blue eyes and paper mache hands,brunette human hair,carton torso with mechanism,paper mache legs hinge-attached to torso. Condition: generally excellent,boy's mechanism functions well,girl needs adjustment. Comments: Roullet et Decamps,circa 1910,the dolls were modeled after drawings of Montmartre urchins by French artist Poulbot for Decamps,named "Toto" and "Tata". Value Points: delightful characters,the boy especially pleasing with glass eyes,turning head,tilting side to side.
