15" (38 cm.) Solid domed bisque head with flat-cut neck socket
that pivots on shoulder plate neck dowel,sculpted brown hair
with curly details,sculpted ears,painted facial features,blue
eyes,red and black upper eyeliner,short stroke brows,accented
nostrils and eye corners,closed mouth with center accent
line,muslin midriff with bellows crier,porcelain hips and lower
limbs with painted black shoes. Condition: hairlines on left arm
and legs,original firing lines on head seam. Comments:
Germany,circa 1860,the doll combines rare glazed bisque head
with porcelain shoulder plate and limbs that are original
together. Value Points: very rare taufling baby with superb
sculpting detail,wearing original pique baby
gown,undergarments,bonnet.
