Description
4.5" (11 cm.) The classic style sac du voyage has rectangular-
shaped firm base with paper cover decorated with soft kidskin
straps and brass studs that hinges open to lower compartment;
with fabric upper compartment that opens at hinged
clasp,woven braid leather handles. The fabric cover is early
hand-woven muslin with transfer printed designs. An early
penknife in the shape of woman's shoe is contained in the
bottom compartment. French,circa 1850. Excellent condition.
