25" (64 cm.) Pressed bisque socket head with elongated facial
modeling,large brown glass paperweight inset eyes,thick dark
eyeliner,mauve blushed eye shadow,curly dark lashes,brush-
stroked and multi-feathered brows,accented eye corners,shaded
nostrils,closed mouth with defined space between the shaded
and outlined lips,impressed dimples at lip corners and
chin,separately modeled pierced ears,blonde mohair wig over
cork pate,French composition and wooden eight loose ball-
jointed body with straight wrists,large lower limbs and
hands,original navy blue woolen dress with cutwork
trim,undergarments,silk bonnet,leather shoes signed "E. Jumeau
Med d'or Paris". Condition: generally excellent. Marks: EJ/A 10
(head) Jumeau Medaille d'Or Paris (body). Comments: Emile
Jumeau,circa 1882,the rare signature model was made for two
or three years only,in two sizes (10 and 11); the model was
described in an early catalog as "bebe perfectionnes de Jumeau".
Value Points: an outstanding example of the very rare bebe,few
models exist,in impeccable original condition,original body,body
finish,wig,pate,costume,shoes,and Jumeau box.
