Bisque socket head portraying an adult woman with slender elongated face, sculpted intaglio shaded blue eyes, heavily modeled eyelids with fringed brows, brush-stroked brows with feathered detail, aquiline nose, shaded nostrils, closed mouth, shaded and accented lips, blonde mohair wig in upswept fashion, pierced ears, composition and wooden ball-jointed body with adult female shape, elongated slender limbs, wearing antique walking suit, undergarments, bonnet, ankle boots. Condition; generally excellent. Marks: Simon & Halbig S&H 152 7 (head) Heinrich Handwerck Germany (body). Comments: Simon and Halbig, circa 1910. Value Points: the very rare portrait model in fine larger size has superb portrait expression enhanced by finest quality of sculpting, bisque and painting, original body and body finish, wig, period costume.
