Description
17" (43 cm.) h. x 17"l. x 13"d. A wooden framed room with ball
feet and carved architectural detail at the roof line has superb
detail of carved wooden ceiling with painted and gilded
highlights,carved back wall featuring gilded urns,garlands and
tall case clock with actual porcelain face flanked by a pair of tall
mirrors. The faux-marble floor is blue and cream and their are
elaborately constructed original draperies with metallic gilded
edging at three sides. A gilded chandelier suspends from the
ceiling and the room is furnished with a superb cast bronze
ensemble with hand-painted miniature scenes in the Watteau
manner,comprising unusual chaise,side chair,foot stool and
three panel screen,along with bronze pedestal with metal bust.
Very good condition,original front glass panel missing,some
wear to paintings on furniture. Outstanding detail of decoration
on the early room. Late 18th century.
