9"(23 cm.) w. 5"h. x 8"d. A wooden box with removable lid is covered with richly lithographed paper depicting cathedral architecture,the lid labeled "Reed's New Cathedral Filled with Sunday Blocks and Books". Inside are ten various blocks with matching lithographed paper designs including stained glass windows,spires,and roof. Also included are nine wooden blocks with lithographed ABC's,proverbs,and images of animals,probably also Reed. American,late 19th century. Excellent condition of the rare toys.
