14"(36 cm.) A bisque-shoulder head doll with blue glass eyes,open mouth,four porcelain
teeth,blonde mohair ringlet curled wig,ball-shaped carton torso containing musical box,attached
to carved maple wood hand,and dressed in fancy lace and silk costume. Condition: generally
excellent. Comments: Circa 1890,when twirled around,music plays; the marotte was designed as
a luxury party favor. Value Points: fine all-original condition.
