20"(51 cm.) Pressed bisque socket head,brown glass enamel inset eyes,painted dark curly
lashes,mauve blushed eye shadow,brush-stroked and feathered brows,accented eye
corners,shaded nostrils,closed mouth with defined space between the outlined lips,French
composition and wooden eight-loose-ball-jointed body with straight wrists,wearing lovely ice-
blue silk satin early dress with Alencon lace collar,lace bonnet with silk ribbons,leather ankle
boots signed Paris. Condition: generally excellent,small paint rub on right brow seems original.
Marks: 7 EJ (head) Jumeau Medaille d'Or Paris (body). Comments: Jumeau,circa 1882,the earliest
period of his signature bebe. Value Points: beautiful expression with sweet childlike features and
lovely painting,original body,body finish,fine costume.
