10"(25 cm.) Standing upon a tinplate platform with three metal spoked wheels is a paper mache
child with black enamel eyes,painted tiny lashes and brows,accented nostrils,open mouth,two
upper and two lower teeth,black painted pate,carton torso and legs,kid curved arms. Condition:
generally excellent. Comments: Theroude,circa 1850,when wound the doll glides forward and in
circular motion,while turning head and waving arms. Value Points: the rare and endearing little
toy is wonderfully preserved,original facial finish,sturdy body,working mechanism,wearing
original baby gown and woven "bourrelet"baby cap.
