25"(64 cm.) Posed upon a velvet covered flat base is a bisque-headed doll with large blue
glass paperweight inset eyes,painted lashes and brows,closed mouth,pierced ears,blonde
mohair wig over cork pate,carton torso and legs,wire upper arms,composition forearms. She is
wearing a rose silk satin dress with painted floral designs and generous lace trim,rose silk
shoes and stockings,silk and velvet bonnet. In her right hand is a powder puff and in her left
hand is a mirror. Condition: generally excellent,functioning well. Marks: Depose Tete Jumeau
Bte SGDG 7 (doll head). Comments: Leopold Lambert,circa 1890,when wound,the doll turns
her head side to side to alternately powder her face and then peer into her mirror; two tunes
play. Value Points: an unusual deluxe size automaton with charming movements enhanced by
stunningly beautiful face and lavish costume.
