15"(38 cm.) Bisque socket head,brown glass sleep eyes,painted lashes,brush-stroked and feathered brows,accented eye corners,shaded nostrils,closed mouth with defined space between the shaded and outlined lips,brunette human hair,composition and wooden eight-loose-ball- jointed body with straight wrists,nicely costumed in antique dress,undergarments,bonnet,shoes. Condition: generally excellent,tiny rub on left brow. Marks: 10. Comments: Kestner,circa 1890,the model closely resembles the French bebe marked A.T. whose market Kestner sought to capture with this doll. Value Points: very lovely doll with fine detail of sculpting especially about the mouth and nose.
