18"(46 cm.) Solid domed bisque head with plump facial modeling,blue glass enamel inset
eyes,dark eyeliner,painted lashes,mauve blushed eye shadow,accented eye corners and
nostrils,brush-stroked brows,open mouth,outlined lips,two rows of tiny porcelain teeth,pierced
ears,pale blonde lambswool wig,carton torso,jointed paper mache arms and lower legs,kid over
hinged upper legs. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Jules Steiner,his deposed "Bebe
Gigoteur",circa 1880. Value Points: original wig,lovely bisque,original body with working
mechanism which,when wound,causes the baby to wave arms and legs in typical baby
fashion,and turn head side to side.
