13"(33 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulder plate,blue glass enamel inset eyes in almond shape,painted lashes,lightly feathered brows,accented nostrils of aquiline nose,closed mouth with smiling expression,outlined lips,pierced ears,blonde mohair wig over cork pate,all- wooden fully articulated body with dowel-jointing at shoulders,elbows,wrists,hips,knees and ankles,separately sculpted fingers,ball-swivel waist. Condition: generally excellent,dark firing line at back of head. Marks: C. Comments: Leon Casimir Bru,circa 1872,both the smiling head model and articulated body were deposed by his firm between 1867 and 1872. Value Points: rare petite model with superb preservation of body,original finish with lustrous patina,beautiful facial complexion and painting.
