14"(36 cm.) Standing upon a wooden platform with paper lithographed decorative paper cover is
a bisque headed boy with blue glass eyes,painted features,open mouth,four teeth,blonde mohair
wig,wooden block torso,wire upper arms and legs,carved wooden lower arms and legs,wearing
blue silk Sunday best suit,and posed with wooden violin resting on a cushioned stool,a wooden
bow in his right hand. When hand-wound by porcelain knob at the side,the little boy turns his
head vigorously from side to side and "plays"the violin. Condition: generally excellent.
Comments: Germany,circa 1890. Value Points: amusing mechanical toy functions well.
