Description
12"(30 cm.) Posed upon a wooden platform with colorful paper decorations is a tented carousel
with four paper mache horses and four bisque-head children as riders; each horse painted a
different color,the center pole decorated with blue and gold striping,American flags and lace
trim,and the children costumed in colorful garb and having glass eyes,mohair wig,and five piece
composition bodies. Condition: generally excellent,paper recovered on base. Marks: 190 (dolls).
Comments: attributed to Zinner and Sohne,circa 1890,when wound the carousel revolves merrily
and music plays. Value Points: delightful mechanical toy functions well.
