Description
14"(36 cm.) Seated upon a velvet covered box with wooden feet is a bisque headed boy with
brown glass enamel eyes,painted features,closed mouth,brunette mohair curly wig,cork
pate,pierced ears,carton torso,wire upper arms,metal hands,wearing his original (albeit very frail)
silk costume and hat. Condition: very good,mechanism and music function albeit music a bit
halting,bisque excellent. Comments: attributed to Gustav Vichy,circa 1870,when wound,the page
turns his head from side to side and plays the nicely crafted violin that he holds. Value Points:
early parlor musical automaton has original tune label listing two tunes.
