18"(46 cm.) Each is of fine cotton twill depicting the cartoon characters of Disney fame,with
cream mask face,applique black leather eyes with pie-cut wedge,black cotton nose,embroidered
mouth and facial details,stitched ears,padded body over wire armature form with over-sized
yellow four-finger hands and shoes. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: designed by
Charlotte Clark of Los Angeles for Walt Disney shortly after the 1930 appearance of Steamboat
Willie; the artist created many of the dolls of her design herself and others were created from
patterns she designed. Value Points: wonderful pair with superb detail,wearing original
costume,Minnie with flower in cap.
