10"(25 cm.) Standing upon a three-wheel tinplate platform is a little bisque-headed doll with
bright blue glass eyes,painted lashes and brows,accented nostrils,closed mouth,pierced
ears,blonde mohair wig,carton torso and legs,wire upper arms,bisque forearms,wearing original
blue silk dress,a violin in her arms. Condition: generally excellent,functions well. Marks: 6/0.
Comments: attributed to Theroude,circa 1870,when would the platform moves forward,then
turns in circles,while girl turns her head and plays the violin. Value Points: unusual petite size of
the early toy,with beautiful doll and original costume.
