17"(43 cm.) Bisque socket head,brown glass paperweight inset eyes,dark eyeliner,lushly painted
lashes,brush-stroked and feathered brows,mauve blushed eye shadow,accented nostrils and eye
corners,closed mouth with defined space between the outlined lips,pierced ears,brunette mohair
wig over cork pate,French composition and wooden fully-jointed body with straight wrists.
Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Depose E. 7 J. (head) Jumeau Medaille d'Or Paris (body).
Comments: Emile Jumeau,circa 1884,the model was made for one year only. Value Points: lovely
bisque and painting,original body and body finish,wearing original Jumeau chemise,and owning
her original maroon silk gown with lace trim and train,with Jumeau shoes trimmed with maroon
silk rosettes and marked "E. Jumeau Med or 1878 Paris Depose".
