full lower cheeks,blue glass paperweight inset eyes,thick dark eyeliner,painted delicate
lashes,mauve blushed eye shadow,brush-stroked and feathered brows,accented eye
corners,shaded nostrils,closed mouth with defined space between the shaded and outlined
lips,dimpled chin,separately modeled and applied pierced ears,blonde mohair wig over cork
pate,French composition and wooden fully-jointed body with straight wrists. Condition:
generally excellent,some wear to body finish on upper legs. Marks: 12 (head) Jumeau Medaille
d'or Paris (body). Comments: Emile Jumeau,circa 1884,the model known as triste"(sad) in
reference to its wistful expression. Value Points: superior quality of sculpting,bisque and
painting enhanced by depth of blue eyes,original wig,superb early woolen and velvet
