15"(38 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid edged bisque shoulder plate,large blue glass paperweight inset eyes,painted lashes,feathered brows,rose blushed eye shadow,accented eye corners and nostrils,open mouth,two rows of teeth,pierced ears,blonde mohair wig over cork pate,firmly- shaped carton body forming into a skirt-shape below the waist,metal upper arms,bisque forearms,three hidden wheels at the base. Condition; generally excellent. Marks: 3. Comments: Jules Steiner,his early deposed model,circa 1875,when wound from attached key the doll appears to "walk"forward,then turning in a circular motion,while waving arms up and down and crying "mama". Value Points: beautiful facial model,well-functioning movement,original costume,on the rare early doll.
