Hand-sculpted leather faced dolls with unique expression on each,oil-painted features,bead eyes,black mohair wigs,cylinder armature body with wooden feet for standing,the bodies wrapped in authentic flannel blankets with accessories. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Mary Frances Woods,Portland Oregon,circa 1920s,an excellent reprint of an early article about the artist appears in Coleman's Collector's Encyclopedia of Dolls,vol 2,pp 1219- 1220.
