American Wooden Paint Decorated Doll's Chair with Maker's Signature

8" (20 cm.) One piece chip-carved wooden chair in barrel fashion with rounded back terminating in center peak, fanciful carved design at the front seat frame that extends all over the back, painted original black with stenciled scrolls and other designs in gold and red in the Pennsylvania German style. The chair is pencil signed inside "Johnson Hagen" and "600" in flowing script. Excellent condition. Mid-19th century.
