Amber tinted bisque swivel head on matching kid-edged bisque shoulder plate with modeled bosom and shoulder blades, amber brown glass paperweight inset eyes, thick dark eyeliner, black painted lashes with slight curl and extended length lash at outer edge of each eye, shaded brown brush-stroked and fringed bows in unique upward curved wing-tipped shape, rose blushed eye shadow, accented eye corners, shaded nostrils, closed mouth with defined space between the shaded lips, pierced ears, black mohair wig over cork pate, original kid bebe body, kid-over-wooden upper arms, amber tinted bisque forearms, wooden lower legs. Condition: generally excellent, finish on feet retouched. Marks: Bru Jne 7 (head and shoulder plate) (original paper label on chest). Comments: Leon Casimir Bru, Chevrot epoch, circa 1885. Value Points: the extreme rarity of this model is rivalled by its superb quality and remarkable state of preservation, having flawless bisque with luminous patina, artistic painting of features, perfect hands, superb antique silk embroidered costume, jewelry, hair flowers. Few models are known to exist, and it is likely that the doll was created by special commission only.
