Bisque socket head with plumply modeled cheeks, blue glass sleep eyes that operate from brass lever at back of head, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, brush-stroked fringed brows, rose blushed eye shadow, accented eye corners, shaded nostrils, closed mouth with outlined lips, pierced ears, brunette mohair wig over cork pate, French composition fully-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Figure C. No 8 J. Steiner Bte SGDG Paris (head) Le Petit Parisien Bebe Steiner (body) (eyes also signed Steiner). Comments: Jules Steiner, circa 1888. Value Points: extremely rare largest size of the model, with original signed body and eyes, original body finish, lovely antique costume.
