42" (107 cm.) Bisque socket head with elongated modeling and very full lower cheeks, brown glass sleep eyes, thick dark eyeliner, painted curly lashes, thick brush-stroked and feathered brows, accented eye corners, shaded nostrils, open mouth, shaded and accented lips, four porcelain teeth, pierced ears, antique hand-tied brunette human hair wig, composition and wooden ball-jointed body, beautiful (frail) antique dress with richly embroidered colorful flowers, undergarments, shoes, stockings. Condition: generally excellent, some body retouch. Marks: SH 18 949. Comments: Simon and Halbig, believed to be the largest size of this model, circa 1890. Value Points: very rare grand-sized doll with lovely bisque and painting, original body, fine antique costume.
