Description

20" (51 cm.) Bisque socket head, brown glass sleep eyes, mohair lashes, painted lower lashes, short feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, open mouth, accented lips, two porcelain upper teeth with unusual space between the teeth, brunette mohair wig, pierced ears, composition and wooden ball-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 1299 Simon & Halbig S&H 7 1/2 (head) Heinrich Handwerck (body). Comments: circa 1900. Value Points: hard to find character model with unusual original teeth, impressed dimples at chin and lip corners, pull-string "mama" crier, antique aqua silk dress, undergarments, brunette mohair wig, original signed body and body finish.
